Security and Privacy Technical Committee Meeting
Room: Poinciana A
The Meeting of the Security and Privacy in Complex Systems Technical Committee http://ieeesystemscouncil.org/content/security-and-privacy-complex-systems-technical-committee of the IEEE Systems Council will be held at 5:15 pm on Monday, April 18, 2016. All SysCon 2016 conference attendees are invited to join for review and planning of the SPCS Technical Committee activities in 2016-2017, hosted by Prof. Shiyan Hu, the SPCS Committee Chair. The SPCS TC aims to promote interdisciplinary research, development, and education in the field of security and privacy for complex systems. Security is addressed at the infrastructure, system, software, and hardware levels. The TC focuses on addressing security and privacy issues in critical systems and technology applications such as intelligent transportation systems, aviation and aerospace systems, robotics, and smart energy systems. The TC also contributes to educational and workforce development efforts by endeavors that demonstrate integrity, safety, and security engineering.

5:15 PM - 7:30 PM
Workforce Development Technical Committee Meeting
Room: Poinciana B
The Meeting of the Workforce Development Committee (WDC) (located at http://ieeesystemscouncil.org/content/workforce-development-technical-committee) of the IEEE Systems Council will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 5:15 pm. All those attending the SysCon 2016 conference are invited to attend this meeting, hosted by WDC member Roger Oliva, in order to review and plan the activities of this committee for the upcoming year. The WDC’s goal is to improve and refine technical workforce education, at different educational levels, in order to enable this workforce to be able to adapt and develop solutions to future needs. Due to constraints this year, WDC was only able to host a limited number of interactive educational workshops, at the postgraduate and career professional level, but wishes to expand the scope and domain of these workshops, among other educational goals, in the coming year.

Tuesday, April 19
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Analytics and Risk Technical Committee Meeting
Room: Palm DEF
Meeting of the Analytics and Risk Technical Committee http://ieeesystemscouncil.org/content/analytics-and-risk-technical-commitee  of the IEEE Systems Council will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. All SysCon 2016 conference attendees are invited to join for review and planning of the ARTC Committee activities in 2016-2017. Hosted by Desheng Dash Wu, ARTC Committee Chair, and James H. Lambert, S.M.IEEE. The ARTC enables growth and understanding of theory and best practices in analytics and risk. Risk analytics in business intelligence represents data-oriented techniques to supplement business systems for risk-based decision making. Risk performance analysis in manufacturing intelligence uses advanced data analytics, modeling, and simulation to produce a fundamental transformation to new product-based economics through internet-based service enterprises and demand-driven supply chains. Risk evaluation plays key roles in emerging areas such as biomanufacturing, nanotechnology, and energy. There is a dramatic increase in the use of predictive analytics in these and many other areas.  The ARTC brings together scientists and engineers from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, and provides opportunities to discuss these open issues and advance the related interests of the IEEE Systems Council.

Tuesday, April 19
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Industrial Interface Technical Committee Meeting
Room: Poinciana AB
Meeting of the Industrial Interface Technical Committee http://ieeesystemscouncil.org/content/industrial-interface-technical-committee  of the IEEE Systems Council will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. All SysCon 2016 conference attendees are invited to join for review and planning of the II TC Committee activities in 2016-2017. The IEEE Industrial Interface Technical Committee has a multi-disciplined membership and is designed to serve as an interface between IEEE (standards and activities) and all industry sectors that use IEEE Standards, Recommended Practices and Guidelines in their business activities. The goal of the TC is to be capable of addressing the topics of energy and power, communications, sensors, automation, systems and controls, process controls, data collection and analysis, and risk management. The II TC is reorganizing and is actively seeking new members in order to meet these goals.

Wednesday, April 20
5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Intelligent Transportation Design Committee Meeting
Room: Poinciana AB
The Meeting of the Intelligent Transportation Design (ITD) TC http://ieeesystemscouncil.org/content/intelligent-transportation-design-tecnical-committee of the IEEE Systems Council will be held at 5:30 pm onWednesday, April 20, 2016. All SysCon 2016 conference attendees are invited to join for review and planning of the ITD Technical Committee activities in 2016-2017. The ITD TC aims to capture the essence of machine-enabled human and cargo transportation through all modes of travel.  Issues associated with the safe implementation of electromechanical systems supporting autonomous and semi-autonomous transport will be identified, predicted, and their mitigation strategies will be recommended.  Particular attention will be paid to the power processes, internal and external electronics, and the material integrity of electromechanical systems.  The TC will also contribute to some of the global development of advanced technology in the future.
